2017 Annual Derby - 38 Players - 19 Teams
The November Annual Derby - Largest in 2017

The Derby was a big success in November with 19 teams teeing off for an exciting time for all.  For the golfers who take part most say it is one of the best Men's Club events.  The format is simple, high handicappers are paired with low ones to form two man teams.  Then it's alternate shot until the ball is holed.  Depending upon the number of teams
involved, at least one team is eliminated on each hole until the last team standing.

The winning team for the last Derby of 2017:
Sam Murad and Dennis Bourdreau

2017 Member-Guest Tournament

The LWMGC Member-Guest Tournament was held on Saturday, August 19 with 108 golfers and 134 dinner guests.  The weather was perfect, course conditions excellent and the camaraderie priceless. The Box Lunch, Goodie Bag of useful items, and the Dinner after golf, made it a great day for our  members and their guests.  And of course there were winners.  The field was divided into handicap and non-handicap players.  And the winners are...

Handicap Flight - Bob Off and Lorraine Tagliaferri
Non-Handicap Flight - John Bassler and Bill Pollock

Congratulations to all our winners
and to a fun tournament!

format regained the "Coot Bird" trophy after the 2016 Navy victory.  This
win gave LWMGC their seventh victory in eight events since the matches
started in 2010.
